Who is responsible
Alexandre Martínez Olmos is responsible for this website. You will find how to contact me at the end of this page.
Cookies and your browser
This website uses no cookies. The light or dark theme you choose is kept in your browser’s localStorage and is never sent to any server.
Contact form
When you send the form, your name, email and message reach me by email through Cloudflare Email Routing, which forwards them to my mailbox. The website does not store them. I use them only to reply to you.
“Ask me” chat
Your question and up to the last four turns of the conversation are sent to Cloudflare Workers AI to generate the answer. Conversations are not stored; only aggregate daily counters are kept.
Once the human check has passed, the browser keeps a signed session token in the tab’s sessionStorage under the name ask-session, so that you are not asked to prove you are a person on every question. It holds only an expiry time and a signature, no personal data, it expires after 30 minutes and it disappears when you close the tab. It is never sent to any other website.
Limits against abuse
To limit abuse, the website uses a pseudonymous key derived from your IP address with a secret. The IP address itself is not stored, and the counters expire within two days.
Human check
When you send the contact form and when you ask the first question in the chat, Cloudflare Turnstile checks, in invisible mode, that you are a person. Cloudflare processes technical signals from your browser under its own policy: Cloudflare Turnstile privacy policy.
Analytics
Beyond the visit statistics, to learn what people find interesting here, I count three actions without knowing who takes them:
- Opening a project: that a project was opened, and which one.
- Asking a question in the “Ask me” chat: that a question was asked, but not its text.
- Sending the contact form: that a message was sent, but not what it says.
For each action, only when it happened and the language of the website are recorded. Your IP address, cookies and any kind of identifier are never stored, so I cannot know who you are or link two of your visits. The data is kept in Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine, which deletes it after three months. Together with the visit statistics above, this is all the measurement the website does. I do not use Google Analytics or any other tracking tool.
Visit statistics
The website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not fingerprint your browser. It gives me aggregated figures on visits, referring websites, countries and devices, and measures the website’s loading and responsiveness (Core Web Vitals). It is run by Cloudflare under its own policy: Cloudflare Web Analytics.
Hosting
The website runs on Cloudflare Workers. Request logs are disabled and error logs contain no personal data.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, its rectification or erasure, and you can object to its use, among other rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD): aepd.es.
